A Portal of Memoirs

·87 words·1 min

Everyday I open a portal

To catch a glimpse of you

Through what you choose to keep

Or what you deem worthy to show.

I desperately search through it all

To see if I’m a part of your hall of thought

And if I stumble upon you glancing my way

That’s all it takes to make my day.

Maybe we were cursed by being

Locked in a state of constant yearning

But I would rather relive this loop of melancholy

Than rewrite any part of our memoir.
